KAXAN SANCTUARY, A SPACE WHICH ENVELOPS YOU WITH LOVE, TO REMEMBER YOUR TRUE ESSENCE; LOVE, PEACE & HAPPINESS …
LET YOUR INNER CHILD FREE !
Kaxan in Mayan language means to look for and to find.
In the ancient Mayan culture they used the word find instead of looking for.
If we pay attention to this, this has a simple yet profound wisdom, to find instead of looking for…
The spirit of Kaxan Sanctuary is precisely this, a space to reencounter oneself and renew the connection with Mother Earth.
Just 20 minutes from Tulum, in the heart of the jungle, Kaxan Sanctuary is open for all who want to live a marvelous experience in contact with nature, experiencing the energy of the flora and fauna of the region…
Explore yourself in a safe, loving, harmonious space surrounded by a flower and medicinal herb garden, monkeys, exotic birds and a crystalline cenote.
You will be accompanied, supported and guided through your process of discovering on your own, the real sense of your existence, through the medicine of Temazcal Ceremony, Breath Work, Yoga, Cacao Ceremony, Sound Healing, Traditional Mayan Massages, Individual therapies, through which you will acquire tools to go deep within ourselves, to release traumas, past experiences and to remember your true essence which is simply; love, peace and happiness.

Our immersive retreats are intimate, 1-10 participants, to ensure constant, individual care and attention.
Ancestral Cacao Ceremony
Let’s start to question our beliefs, thoughts and the value we give things.
Our beliefs, and our thoughts aren’t even really ours.
They are learned, imitated, past down from generations.
This identity we have created is like a mask , sometimes several masks ,an illusory self, our ego, which constantly works on trying to hide or obscure our true essence, which is simply love .
Let’s liberate ourselves of the masks.
Let’s make our healing process full of love.
Our biggest life project is loving and nurturing our beautiful selves !
Let’s be hero of our own life story !
Let’s start to recognize and contemplate the origin of each and everyone of our thoughts.
Where do they come from , love or fear ?
Healing is the liberation of fear.
Spirituality is getting to know ourselves, with love, compassion, without judgement,
the awakening of our consciousness.
Temazcal Ceremony, healing our physical body , mental, emotional and spiritual self.
The darkness in the Temazcal, the heat of the volcanic stones, the vapor of the medicinal herbs enveloping, embracing our body and the traditional chants take us into in a deep , marvelous, inner voyage of self knowledge and liberation.
Remembering & Activating the
Medicine in You !
Transforming negative thoughts and emotions into love and light.
Rediscover yourself, reconnect with your heart and intuition, in a peaceful, haven embraced by the healing energy of Mother Earth.

CARLOS ROJO
The path of a healer or chaman is, at first the path of self-knowledge, from a profound observation of oneself and of the totality, to then recognize and activate the necessary tools to accompany others in their process of healing.
I learned the medicine from the Mexica (Aztec) tradition, from the dancers, medicine men, herbalists and temazkaleros. From the Huicholes (Wixárikas) with whom I lived and shared during some time, I learned their tradition and their use of medicinal plants.
Chamanism is a mission, a service, to accompany someone who is looking to heal his or her physical, mental, emotional and spiritual body, finding deeper meaning of one’s life.
CATHERINE HANNON
My connection with Mother Earth started as a child talking to the plants, trees and animals in the remote countryside of Belgium. Being an only child, I spent my days playing in the fields and woods, connecting with nature in a very profound manner.
In 2001, on my first trip to Tulum, I had a strong calling that I was where I was supposed to be. I left the city life and successful career as a fashion advertisement photo producer in Los Angeles, California, for a more simple and fulfilling life.
In 2007 I built and opened a condo - hotel in Tulum town, where in that moment our street was a dirt road and there was no electricity.
Villas Geminis Boutique Hotel is a small oasis in the middle of the town, 7 mins from the beach, which was made with love, where people are received and treated as if they were at home …
I had a vision that I was sharing with people in a holistic space in the jungle with a cenote, and from there my true purpose started to unveil ...
I started studying Herbalism with the medicinal plants, native to the Mayan region, assisting in medicinal and spiritual ceremonies and learning to guide and share the medicine of the Temazcal Ceremonies.
Observing and connecting with our teachers; the trees, plants, animals, elements, and all beings, I remembered the essence of life, going back to my roots with a sensation of belonging and peace, being one with nature.
My purpose is service, sharing the medicine of Mother Earth and of our ancestors , so people open up to connect with their true essence of love, light and happiness and find the path to their own healing.
As a Temazcal Ceremony and Intuitive Herbalist Guide, I share how to cleanse your mind, nourish your body and soul, learning to observe your thought patterns, which generate emotions, which then manifests themselves in our body.
Using local Mayan plants and plants around the world, you will learn herbal remedies; for feminine cycles, parasite removal, organ cleanses, detox juices, balanced diets according to your own bodies needs, connecting with your own intuition, peace and balance.
¨Cath´s energy is that of a big sister, mother, who embraces you with love, accompanying you to heal yourself , listening to your own heart and intuition.¨
MAYA COSTA
Maya moved from Brazil to Tulum - Mexico in 2008, since then she has devoted herself to the practice and study of different Yoga methods.
Under the guidance of her teacher Michael Gannon, she is registered as a E-RYT 200 Yoga Alliance and RYT 500 Yoga Alliance in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and GPVY - Gannon Power Vinyasa Yoga, as well as assisting him during his trainings.
Now, with more than 10 years of experience in teaching, Maya is able to guide a class that adapts to the needs of all levels. Applying the use of different techniques to realize the natural state of Yoga inherent to each one of us.
“Hatha yoga practice gives me back the ability to reconnect with the silence prior to action and thought. It is a practice that fills me with joy and well-being.¨
¨The greatest gift of my life is being able to share it with others”. ILARIA LISI
Hello, my name is Ilaria and my purpose is to be able to help people in their healing process, accompanying them in understanding themselves, leaving the character they have created in this life and remembering their true essence.
I work with different therapies such as: Innerdance, LNT Quantum Healing, Regressive Hypnosis, Breathwork, Meditation, Sound Healing.
"Ilaria is like a fairy floating around each participant with her angelic voice and delicate playing of the Tibetan and Quartz bowls and wind instruments. She envelops you with her sweetness and elevates you to a state of deep introspection, lightness , peace, love and harmony. "
MARIA ELENA
Since I was little , in the state of Puebla, my maternal and paternal family have awakened in me the commitment to continue with the practice of my Mexican customs, uses of herbs, prayers, elements and elementals. My studies and interests showed me the path to learn different massage techniques as well as the connection and similarity in the ancestral practices between different cultures. I feel enchanted by manual art and the powerful channel of communication and expression.
TRADITIONAL MEXICAN SOBADA - Full body and abdominal massage for physical and energetic alignment with ancestral techniques; such as herbs to clean the energies, application of herbal balms, followed by the manual handling of the joints, cupping, and the use of rebozos (a garment traditionally used in Mexico to carry young children).
